About Us

The North Carolina Fraternal Order of Police is comprised of over 6,100 law enforcement officers in the State of North Carolina. Our lodge members work as local, state and federal officers who protect each of us each day and night. The NCFOP is the largest law enforcement organization in the State of North Carolina.

Wake County Lodge #41 was chartered on

January 29, 1984

The FOP was established in 1915 by two Pittsburgh Police Officers looking for better working conditions. This effort led to a national organization that is now the largest Police Fraternity that represents over 365,000 members and 2,100 local lodges. The Fraternal Order of Police continues to work with national and state legislatures’ on behalf of the brothers and sisters that make up our organization.

The FOP continues to grow, support our brothers and better our profession because we are…

”BUILDING ON A PROUD TRADITION.”
